Mobius
Elastic Abdominal Retractor
OB/Mobius
FDA cleared for cesarean sections!

Superior access for the surgeon, faster recovery for the patient.
This easy to use self-retaining retractor brings laparotomy into the realm of minimally invasive surgery. The Mobius retractor provides enhanced surgical exposure compared with conventional retractors. For example, a 6 cm incision yields a working area of 28 cm with the Mobius in contrast to only 18 cm using a conventional four-point retractor. In addition, the device completely lines the incision to help protect wound edges from contamination. It's easy to set up, simple to use and easy to remove saving valuable surgical time. Available in four sizes for incisions from 2 cm to 17 cm.
  • Radial Dilation vs. Linear Retraction - Unlike standard retractors, Mobius distributes retraction force evenly over the entire incision, not just at the standard retraction points.
  • Improved Access - Continuous elastic tension helps maximize the diameter of the working area - provides greater exposure than conventional retractors. Works on virtually any tissue thickness.
  • Protects Incision - Completely lines the incision, keeping the wound moist and helping to protect the wound edges from potential contamination.
  • Economical - Simplicity of use saves valuable surgical time. In addition, sterile disposable device eliminates need to sterilize retractors and frame.

Fast and Easy to Place and Remove

The unique Mobius external ring provides a natural inverting force that simplifies set up and reduces need for surgical assistance.

When in place, the Mobius retractor creates a less traumatic , circular, completely self-retaining area of abdominal retraction.

After the procedure, the device is removed quickly with one finger.
